Dear LYTERS ⚡️️
“And then she'll get stuck and be scared
Of the life that's inside her
Growing stronger each day
'Til it finally reminds her
To fight just a little
To bring back the fire in her eyes
That's been gone but it used to be mine”
- 🎵 Jessie Mueller, “Waitress” the musical
I was riding in the car with our Sales Director, Matt Campbell, and our Regional Sales Manager, Tyler Thompson, in Miami a few weeks back. We were down there visiting stores and meeting with our Distributor Partner for a Sales Meeting.
They asked if they could use my iPhone📱to play music and I said, “Sure!” A few moments later, Matt asked, “What is this?!” It was my Spotify Playlist named, “CEO.”
My face turned scarlet 🥵️😳
Next it was a battle for the iPhone 🤺- me launching myself up into the front seat trying to squeeze my phone out of Matt’s hands, but they were NOT taking no for an answer! They WANTED to know what the playlist was and what was on it 🔐.
Begrudgingly, I told them that it was a playlist I created before I became the leader of BIOLYTE. My parents had denied me the position for a few years, and this was my pump up playlist - my go to music when I needed to remind myself “You’ve got this” or “Stick with it.”
Ever since that point, I have added to it through the ups and downs of this BIOLYTE rollercoaster. Now it’s turned into a story of “where I was when…” 🎼 and been a never-ending friend when I needed one.
There was a LOT of laughter 🤣, quiet moments, and guessing of when each song was used during the peaks and valleys of our company.
Matt and Tyler have been with me for a while now 😎 and so they were pretty vocal about guessing what song went when.
But even through all that embarrassment 🫠, the best part was hearing Tyler say, “I’m going to create a playlist.” I can only guess what the title will be.
What do you want?
What are you striving for?
I challenge you to speak that out into the world 📢 and make a playlist that constantly reminds you of why you started and where you’re going.
“To bring back the fire in her eyes.”
LYTE it up,
Jesslyn Rollins
