Quarterlies — Thirsty Thursday with CEO, Jesslyn Rollins

Dear LYTERS ⚡️

Right now we are in the heart of Quarterlies - a company wide gathering that happens once every three months where all departments focus their attention to working ON the business rather than IN the business.

In a weeks time, we review what happened over the past 3 months - what worked and what didn’t - and then map out what actions we are going to take in the next three months that get us closer to our annual goals. The idea for this comes from a book called, Traction, where one of the core concepts is to break up your fiscal year into bite sized chunks.

I’ve gotten some push back about this in the past because if me and my team are glued to Quarterlies then we can't be out in the trade selling BIOLYTE.

But here is my thing, if we don’t all pick our heads up and go, “Alright where are we? How’d we do?” then we are going to end up forgetting why we started and get off track from what we set out to do at the beginning of the year.

My mom has always said that she can’t start on a new project until her house is in order. Lord have mercy do I agree with her!! If my laundry is folded, dishes are stored away, and bird feeders are full, my mind is just plain clearer, and I can make better decisions. 💁‍♀️

ONE week FOUR times a year to work ON the business rather than IN the business may look like it’s taking one step back, but sometimeyou need to shift your weight backwards so that you can catapult yourself forward. ⏩

  • Assess what worked.
  • Take note of what didn’t.
  • Get organized.

Let’s go LYTERS ⚡️Traction to better manage your goals.

Much love,
Jesslyn
